My future job

Today I’m going to talk about my future job or job that I would have when I get out of university.

Well, as I'm studying psychology, probably I will work in a field of my career and that's not bad because I really like psychology. I think that I will work in organizational field because is a very well paid job and has the following features.

Into the organizational field there are two areas for work; staff selection and human resource development. I like more the area of human resource development because here you work training people for the enterprise, isn't only for the benefit of the company because the person is the most benefited with training. You work helping people about their labor problems and teach them new strategies for personal development.

Today, this is the most profitable work and need many psychologists so why I think it isn’t difficult find work in this field. It will always be necessary to increase the profits of a company in this globalized world and therefore develop human resources.

In addition to the characteristics of work in the organizational area, I mentioned that in this field you make much money, which is important for the plans I have in my future. First, I would like to continue studying in the field to specialize in my second career and I wish I could give my family a good life, where I can satisfy them in any way necessary.

I hope you liked it.

Discrimination

Discrimination is everywhere, but don't want to discriminate, I think we are always discriminating. It's completely bad from my point of view because it makes people feel bad because of some condition or any specific idea or belief that isn't going according to the canons of the society or of the ideas of the majority. For example, if I do not agree with democracy, people discriminate me because I will not vote; or if I am poor, I have a special and  predetermined place on the outskirts of the city where I can live in peace, I have a predetermined salary and I have a poor school that don´t will help me get into university, etc.

I think people discriminate because everybody feel insecure of how different we can be, also that at certain times there are specific groups who need to have power for discriminate other people.

I don´t know how not to discriminate against people because we are always discriminating in ways subtle or very notorious, when we have a prejudice of a person we are discriminating according to how we think he is and we differentiate that concept. The dangerous thing is to make these prejudices a form of domination and imposition of one group over another.

Although I don't know fix this problem I think that is necessary that all the people do our part and not frighten us over the other people because everyone is different and so we will not be mistreating people different from us, we must learn to live with that and respect each other.

How green are you?

Really, I have never asked about protect the environment and when I did, I always think before telling people to change their habits about environmental care, the State should assume the problem of pollution, and compel to the big companies and enterprises that don't get dirty more our sky.

But of course, the problem is the people because we are poor, but the companies aren't responsible for the pollution because they have money and they will never get the blame for something.

After this short introduction, I would like to talk a bit about caring for the environment, because the environment is for all of us and we must take care. This just learn it because I have often been inconsistent with the environment, but I guess I'm forgiven because every time I learn more of how you take care.

I don't know exactly how to care for the environment but I think that you shouldn't throw garbage on the street, not smoking if possible, and recycle trash that can be recycled, such as plastic bottles, cans, glass bottles, among others.

I don't belong to any environmental organization, nor ride a bicycle to university, sometimes throw garbage on the street, nor I am a person who recycles much, but I think this topic is very important, but for us to change in favor to the environment care, we must change our social practices and understand that we can change the course of pollution, to learn better techniques that can help to heal this world so polluted.

The environment should be cared for by all of us and even though the state does not worry about it, we can and must do for our own good. I'm improving my practices with the environment, what are you gonna do?

My best holiday

For me, holidays are the best time of year because I leave the university and I have a little break from everything they want there. I have a little break because of the two month vacation, usually work a month and a bit more and then rest for a couple of days.

But those days are the best of the year, because I do nothing or go out to the beach or go south of Chile. My best vacation was in 2008 when I left the country and went to Brazil with my friends from church. The experience was great because I met other people, I met important places such as Iguazú Falls, Argentina and Paraguay went through, seeing the landscape and knowing other cultures.

My worst holiday I don't know because the holidays are generally very good or just good, but still betterthan the year in general, so for me there isn't bad vacation.

This year I went on vacation to the south to see my mother's family and I want to do the holidays coming is to go to northern Chile because I don't know, so I'm very interested, but that I have money and work again.

Hopefully you don't have to work to go on vacation and enjoy every one of these days. Enjoy them as I do.

The first semester

The first half of this year was a little boring, with good and bad things. Today I will concentrate on the good things to tell my first semester.

In the career I'm studying, the first two years are introductory but this third year begin elective classes and you know the fields where you can work. This semester I learned from different areas, for example: educational psychology, occupational psychology, clinical psychology, etc. This I liked because we moved from theoretical to practical flat psychology.

Another thing I liked was the semester I obtained good marks in all classes and also most of the classes weren´t written tests but they did essays and group work, which I like to be studying for the written tests.

Well, and away from the academic field, in the field of love I was with some fights that almost did end my relationship with my girlfriend but that didn't happen. I still love us to stay together and not end!

That was my semester, some think it was very boring and others may find it entertaining, I just know that there were more things that maybe I forgot to spend the time on autopilot.

Regards!

The Wisdom of Psychopaths by Kevin Dutton

A woman attends the funeral of his mother and she sees a man who loves, quickly she thinks this man is her soulmate but not get the phone number. A few days later she murders her sister. Why the woman killed her sister?

There are many answers for this case but a possible answer from a person with psychopathic characteristics, is saying that the woman killed her sister to see the man again she liked at the funeral of her mother.

Kevin Dutton writes in his book the characteristics of people with psychopathic traits and how these traits aren´t bad most of the time, but are present in many people, from big businessmen or lawyers to the worst criminals.

What Dutton explains is to be a good or bad psychopath depends of the social environment in which the person unfolds as being a psychopath isn't bad, the bad is being raised in a social environment dangerous and this take you by the antisocial way.

For me, the important thing about this article is that it shows the importance of the social environment in which we develop and that once it is equal for everyone, we can solve the problems of the poor, even the topic of psychopathy, which isn't own criminals or delinquents because is present in many people.

I hope you can also think about this item, for that I leave the link: http://www.guardian.co.uk/books/2012/oct/07/wisdom-of-psychopaths-kevin-dutton-review?INTCMP=SRCH

My favourite movie

Well, today I’m going to talk about movies. Each person has their own tastes when we talk about movies, some like romantic movies, others like comedies, and others like the anime. I have seen many movies and different genres, I love watch movies!

If I had to choose the genre of movie that I like more, I choose the horror and scary movies. I've seen many films of this genre, some of them are: “Resident evil”, “The chainsaw of texas”, “Saw”, “The orphanage”, “Jeepers creepers”, “Nightmare on the Elm street”, “Paranormal activity”, etc. As I like horror movies, it's very hard for me choose one of them as the one I like but if I make the effort, I choose "The exorcist".

"The exorcist" is an old movie without many special effects but the suspense that shows is very good. The first time I saw it, I was 10 years old, I was in the house of my aunt Lily with all my family around me, I saw in the night and I was very scared. I've seen it 3 or 4 times, including the latest version. Now I'm not so scared like the first time but it's still a great movie.

If you like horror films, "The Exorcist" is a film that you can't miss.

A country I'd like to visit

Today I'm going to talk about a country called Argentina. Actually I don't know well why I want go to Argentina but I'd like to visit because my paternal grandparent Atilio Salas was argentinian.

He left the country in the decade of 60' to search a better job in a neighboring country and he found the love and also improved his economical situation.

Furthermore, Argentina strikes me because the people say that the country is very cute and therefore strikes me. Argentina have big monuments to visit and also have beautiful landscapes, with the famous argentinian pampas.

Currently, my girlfriend traveled to Argentina and she told me that the country is very beautiful, she knew the big monument in the center of the city Buenos Aires, called "Obelisco" and also she told me that there is a town called "Caminito", where live the culture of the country, with dance and music. Is a turistic town where listening and dancing tango, with the passion argentinian.

In conclusion, the country must be a great place rich in culture and beautiful places.

Ignacio Martín-Baró: a revolutionist.

One of the people I admire in my career, psychology, is Ignacio Martín-Baró, but who is he? Or what he has done in psychology?

Well, Martín-Baró was born in Spain but he lived most of his years in El Salvador. He was a psycholgist and Jesuit priest who spent most of his work to the investigation of the difficult political and social realities of El Salvador and throughout Latin America. He died murdered by the armed forces of their country because of the ideas that had.

He proposed and defended the thesis that psychology should study the social and historical conditions of the territory where it is develop with the aspirations of the people residing in it. He believed that psychology students should learn to analyze human behavior in the specific contexts in wich scenarios developed and not artificial contexts.

I like because he fought for human rights, equality and social justice in Latin America, creating a new vision in social psychology. Also died for their ideas, wich makes him a martyr in the discipline.

A book for the life!

When I was 7 years old, I began to read books of the library of my parents because my mother forced me to read, but she found a big surprise because I really liked. My first book was "Papelucho" and I liked the funny story of the child. From the time that my mother forced me to read, I didn't stop with other books, and currently I read every day.

Today I have 20 years old and I have read around 100 books, some are science fiction, fantasy, magical, magical realism, dreamlike, psychological, and philosophical, among others. I like to read are the books about psychological problems and show different ways of living, books that make me feel and think about their topics. If we speak of authors, I really like Miguel de Unamuno; I never forget what he made me feel with his book "San Manuel Bueno, mártir". I like this book because it shows the tragic sense of life, a frequent feelings at the time in wich we live and therefore is why I feel so understood by the book.

Recently, I haven't read any novel but I am reading articles and books for university, so I keep reading throughout the year and I love it!

The corner...

In general, I like the photographs but I feel that it isn't an art as many people believe. For me, photographs are used to remember important moments and people in the life. People who aren´t me and that I miss or special moments captured by the camera. It's something spacial, is an art for everyone because it is an individual thing, are very special feelings for each person but that doesn't mean it's a universal art because it's really sincere of each person that can't be a universal, therefore the meaning is of those who live things.

This photography is one that I like. For me, it represent to my friends of the school, in that corner we sat talking, smoking, talking about life, talk about problems, laugh and watch the world from that point of view. This photography was taken in the 2009, in the year when we finish school. It was taken by my friend Diego, who sat down to laugh at people that tripped over a hole that was in the street jajajajajaj :)

That is my history of tthat photo, I hope you liked it, bye!

Animals

I don`t consider an animal lover but I must admit that I like the cats very much. The cats are the better animals because they are very funny and lovely. When I was a child I have a cat called "Colores", she was going to get to the gate when I came home, she kept me company when I was alone and had sometimes sleeping with me. Now, I have another cat wich is called "Zarigüeya", she isn't as loving but I like the colors she has, she´s very nice.

Although I am not an animal lover in general, I can't understand how people occupy them to investigate, knowing that they cause suffering, they feel like humans! Therefore I am against all that hurt animals, for example fur coats, animal research, including zoos that use animals as fun for people.

Sometimes I imagine being an animal and I conclude that I must be a cat, I love the cats! I love because they are elegant to walk, sometimes violent, but mostly they are very affectionate with their owners.

And This is all, thanks and regards :) bye.

Music is life!

One of the every pieces of technology that I like is the mp3. It's a portable music player, a very small thing that follows me everywhere and all the time, but, why I like so much this small device?

Well, to start, the music has always been a topic very important for me. The first music player that gave me was a "discman" in the year 2007, but it was big so I didn't use much. The gift was much better when I bought a mp3 in the year 2008, it was a small device that could keep anywhere and also could hear the best music everywhere!

Currently, I use my mp3 in all places but I use it more when I travel from home to university, I like go to sit on the bus while listen rap and think about the people of the world. Sometimes I use it all day, on the bus, in classrooms, streets, etc.. I love the music and therefore my mp3, I don´t know what I would do without my mp3, I think that life would lose it colour.

To end, I can say that small device calling mp3 is the best invention of man and so my favourite piece of technology. I leave a picture on my blog to be seen.
See you soon, goodbye.

My favorite singer

Today I’m going to talk about my favorite singer. His name is Tempo.

The truth name of Tempo is David Sánchez Badillo. Tempo is a singer of rap who was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico, in 1979. At the age of five years he moved to New York and at the age of eleven years began his musical career writing his first songs. He participated in many competitions and won many trophies with his music, which led him to record two albums, one in 1999 under the name “Game Over” and the second in 2000 under the name “New Game”.

The songs of Tempo are very good because they talk about the reality of the poor people, showing the social problems that lead to that we coexist with drug trafficking, violence, weapons, drugs, etc.; and as the government and police controls us and watching us. Tempo social criticizes the system from the view point of the poor, who suffer every day the problems mentioned, and that is why I like both songs.

In 2002, he was arrested and imprisoned for "drug trafficking", assembly of the authorities because their words are dangerous to the social order. Among the evidence presented showed a song called "narcohampón" which I love and leave you to hear it.

Finally, I commented that there is a campaign called "Free Tempo" which board signatures to release or reduce the sentence of Tempo.

Farewell, hope you like the song. Goodbye.

In this time we live in a poor village south west of the city and I studied in the center of Santiago in the basic school Salvador Sanfuentes, so I went to study in a school car which was delayed approximately two hours.

From now on my family was composed by my brother, my mom and me.
